Let me start off by saying that I’m not a big fan of Kristen Stewart. Her acting is lifeless at best. However, from some of her previous editorial work in magazines like Interview, I definitely think that she has some modelling potential. This cover is no exception. At first glance one may think, “Did Lindsay Lohan dye her hair again? Ugh!” Nope, this time it’s just Kristen Stewart. The image evokes old Hollywood glamour. I’m really not so sure if that’s what I want to see on my September cover, but I suppose it’s a lot better than the standard grey background that W always gives. I don’t know how I feel about the cover promos, as W is really more of an entertainment magazine than a fashion magazine as of late, but I guess time will tell how they cover fall fashion. For now, all we have to go on is KStew giving a less-lackluster-than-normal cover look, and that’s good enough for me. Rating: B
